Tara Lee Thomas

Tara "TT" Lee Thomas, 49, of Zanesville, Ohio, gained her eternal rest Thursday, February 15, 2024 at The James Cancer Center in Columbus. Tara was born February 11, 1975 in Zanesville, daughter of Gary Lee and Susan (Kennedy) Thomas. Tara is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Margaret Thomas; maternal grandparents, Doris and John Kennedy; cousins, Chad Kennedy, Brian Norris, Cathy Norris, Hoss Smith and Matthew Johnson; and several aunts and uncles.

In addition to her loving parents, Gary and Susan Thomas, TT also leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Shakayla Thomas and Theeshawn Traylor; cherished grandchildren, Kamron and Marley Thomas; fiance, Adrian Harris; siblings, Gary "Manny" Thomas and LaTonya Banks; nephew, Aron Banks; a great-niece; many cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and many, many friends. 

Tara was a wonderful mother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and she was truly the best grandma, or Memaw, as she was affectionately called. In her free time, TT loved to visit Port Clinton for fishing trips. She loved to cook and was known to make wonderful meals. Tara also enjoyed cooking out and loved to host cookouts with all her loved ones. She loved the outdoors and taking motorcycle trips. TT loved the time spent with her family and friends. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Tara will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

You may call on the family Friday, February 23, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services. Per the family's wishes, cremation will follow. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
