Steven L Stewart

Steven L. Stewart took his final curtain call on March 5th, 2024. Steve held a captive audience for 73 years. He was a graduate of Bishop Rosecrans class of 1968. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Ohio University Athens.

Steven had the true entrepreneurial spirit opening SL Stewart marketing in the 1980’s., receiving many national awards for his voice talent. Later in life he opened SL Stewart computers, serving the greater Zanesville area with his charming wit and computer expertise. Steven was extremely active in the community. He held a passion for theater and performing arts. He was involved in many shows at the Renner theater and the Zanesville community theater throughout the years. He had the heart for service to the community, seeking out anything that would make Zanesville a better place for generations to come. Steven was involved heavily in many clubs and foundations. He truly believed in the power of community.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G Stewart and Betty J Sowell. 

He leaves behind a beautiful family. Daughters; Stephanie (Dustin) Devoll and Heather (Dale) Bailey; Grandchildren, Emma Bookless, Lucas Devoll, Anna Devoll and Tiffany (Brandon) Lynn; Great grandchildren, Conner Lynn and Bailey Lynn. 

A memorial celebration will take place at a later date. If anyone would like to make a contribution in his memory, please contact the family. Per his wishes, Cremation has been chosen. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
